Hello, my name is Amy Tvedt. I was born and
raised on a farm near Guelph, North Dakota. I graduated from
Oakes High School and then attended
North Dakota State University in Fargo. After two years I transferred
to
Dakota State University in Madison, SD where I graduated in 1998 with a
bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education.
In 1997 I married Brian Tvedt and we lived in
Madison. After graduating I received my first teaching position in
Clear Lake, SD at which time we moved to the community. We have two
boys, an active 4
year old and a spirited 18 month old.
I am currently in my
seventh year as a math teacher
in the
Deuel High School. I also teach two computer classes and coach 7th
grade girl's basketball and Varsity girl's track. For the past four years
I have also taught driver's education.
As for any spare time that I might have, I enjoy
spending time with my family, being outdoors, participating in athletic activities,
and working on the computer. I also have a small personal business of
designing web pages for area businesses.
