Mathematicians Timeline

Day 1:

• Student will receive handout containing information about the unit and its components.
• While in the computer lab students will choose a mathematician and begin researching via the Internet.

Day 2:

• Students will meet with a group of 2-3 students to share what they found and offer suggestions.

Day 3:

• Students will have summary completed, which will be assessed with the rubric provided.
• In the computer lab, students will begin working on their PowerPoint presentations.

Days 4 & 5:

• Students will meet with the same group of classmates to share what they have done so far and offer suggestions.

Day 6:

• Student must have PowerPoint presentations completed and submitted to the teacher. These will be assessed with the rubric provided.

Days 7-9:

• Students present their PowerPoint presentations to the class. These will be assessed with the rubric provided.

OPTIONAL

Day 10:

• Students will meet with their group to share ideas and offer suggestions for their creative projects.

Day 11:

• Students will share their creative projects with the rest of the class. These will be assessed with the rubric provided.
