I work with students and other stakeholders to create a high performance environment where learning is challenging yet joyful and all students meet their needs and experience success.

I will do the following:

a.  Students will be provided with in class training to better understand the purpose of the various activities.

b.  Other stakeholders will be sent a letter explaining the process and the different methods I have selected to try in my classrooms, along with my rationale.

I have created a classroom work system based on professional development training that is designed to help students and teachers achieve classroom goals in an atmosphere that stresses sharing, collaboration, and innovation.

I will do the following:

a.  At the beginning of the year I will spend some time explaining the “quality” classroom that I want for the students.

b.  Students will go through some basic training so that they understand why being a “quality” class is important.  This training will include the affinity diagram they will do to create their class goals.

c.  I will continue to research and learn about quality in education.

My students are trained to how to flowchart, manage, and improve key classroom processes.

I will do the following:

a.  During the student training mentioned in the above statement, students will learn to read graphs and make decisions on how to improve based on the graphs.

I use periodic student satisfaction surveys and plus/deltas to make improvements in the classroom work environment.

I will do the following:
a.  I will use Plus/Deltas and One Minute Papers to obtain information that will be used to improve my classroom.
